Advanced Data Warehouse in Telecommunication Industries

Data warehouse is the powerful tool in telecommunications industry for handling the massive amounts of data. It assists telecommunication companies in achieving a competitive advantage and higher profits. Theaim of this paper is to focus on data warehousing in telecommunication companies and why they need advanced data warehouse platforms and new technology. It compares traditional data warehouse with new DW platforms and describe the benefits ofapplying these new data warehouse platforms. This paperincludes the following sections: tradition data warehouse, advanced data warehouse platforms, applied newdata warehouse platforms in telecommunication companies, Oracle Exadata, business intelligence applications in telecommunications industry, and the benefits of advanced DW platforms compared with traditional data warehouse.
